The neat VHF station of Frank mcCarthy, GI6EYO, in Blly Crummy, Co. Armagh. The station has proven E-M-E capability and K1WHS in Maine was worked on February 28, 1983 for a claimed "first" in Ireland/USA 2m QSO via the moon. That's Frank in the foreground and the chap operating the Vibroplex key is James Finnegan, GI4FFL.

This is my gear in the communications bunker at A-341 Special Forces Camp,  Budop, South Vietnam. Taken in 1968. The Bug is hooked up to a "AN/FRC 93" or Collins KWM2A SSB. The other gear is FM which we used the most.  Note Thermite grenade on the FM for quick destruction if needed.

Original 1923, No. 90343 - Take a look at a wonderful restoration job by Fred Glanzman, HB9JCP.
This bug features a pinstripe of 23.9 carat gold. Fred refurbished all other parts and gave them a new chrome cover.
 


Our customer Andreas Braun from Hamburg, Germany with 5 year old Alex, the son of a good friend, traveling  with Harley riders visiting Scotland, Czech Republic and Hungary.  His "second" hobby!
