The station has proven E-M-E capability and K1WHS in Maine was worked on February 28, 1983 for a claimed "first" in Ireland/USA 2m QSO via the moon. That's Frank in the foreground and the chap operating the Vibroplex key is James Finnegan, GI4FFL. |

| This is my gear in the communications bunker at A-341 Special Forces Camp, Budop, South Vietnam. Taken in 1968. The Bug is hooked up to a "AN/FRC 93" or Collins KWM2A SSB. The other gear is FM which we used the most. Note Thermite grenade on the FM for quick destruction if needed.
